We celebrated my sweet Liliana’s 2nd birthday over the weekend with a carousel themed party. It was a blast having family over to celebrate with us. And, it was so much fun to plan. I always have a fun time planning my girl’s birthday parties. It’s just one of those things I really enjoy doing. It’s almost like a hobby for me. I love picking out a theme and trying to find just the right things to make the day special. Most of the decorations I found were from Etsy, as usual for me. Etsy is like a godsend when it comes to planning a party. You can find almost anything you could need or want there. Plus, it’s great to be able to support small businesses, which I love. The happy birthday banner I got was from Star Design Studio. I cannot believe how beautiful the carousel banner turned out! The carousel letters spelling out two were from Perfectly Boutique. I couldn’t believe that I had actually found someone who does carousel themed letters. It was a great find and I was very happy with them. The balloons I bought from Elliot’s Partyland in Mequon. I always go there for my party balloons. And even with a helium shortage going on right now, I didn’t have any problems ordering balloons from them. It was great that they had a carousel balloon I was able to add into the colorful mix. The carousel balloon they used matched the plates and napkins that I also bought from them. The party favor treat boxes I bought from Party Pop by Laura. They were honestly a little smaller than I thought they would be, but they were still perfect for throwing a few treats inside. The carousel horse cupcake toppers were from Sweet Mila Designs, and the carousel horse confetti was from Confetti Momma Party. The milk white glass cake stands I bought from Mosser Glass, Inc. on Amazon. I have a six inch, nine inch and 12 inch. The “Sweets & Treats” sign is from Amazon as well.
One thing I love about planning my girl’s birthday parties is that their birthdays are about seven months apart. Eloisa is in December and Liliana is in July. So, I have about the same amount of time to plan each party. It’s so nice to not have their birthdays close together and feel rushed in planning one or the other. So, now that Liliana’s party is over, it’s time to start thinking about Eloisa’s party. Yes, I will already start planning the next birthday party even though it’s about five months away. I love to plan ahead, spread things out, and just enjoy the process. I’ll have to ask Ella what theme she’d like this year. She’s getting to that age now where I don’t know if she wants her mommy to pick out her theme for her. I’m sure I’ll be able to throw ideas out to her, but we’ll see if she bites on any. What theme do you think her December birthday party should be? Let me know in the comments.
